In this season we fell like having light and colored meal, roses are versatile and match with thousand of dishes.
As a general rule to pair rosé with food remember that the lighter colored roses tend to be softer and pair best with more delicate dishes. The darker, bolder styles pair well with spicy dishes, grilled meats.
Light: the most versatile of all rosé styles. Great with everything from salad with fruits, light cheeses to white-fleshed fish.
Medium: usually richer in floral and herbal notes it is ideal with rustic, grilled dishes. Grilled veggies and shellfish, mediterranean lamb and pork, pasta with pesto, pizza.
Full, rich: grilled meat such as burger, ribeye. Also grilled pork sausages are terrific with it.
You can find different styles of rosé also depending on the residual sugar: if you like asian spicy food, try it with a slightly sweet rosè.
If you prefere bubbles, for a nice aperitif you can accompany your favourite sparkling rosé with salami antipasti.
