Traditional hot chocolate with grappa

During winter country feast, especially those organized in december near Xmas day, together with caldarroste (roasted chestnut) the protagonist is hot chocolate.

We tasted a very special version with grappa, for adults only!!
Here is the recipe.

Hot chocolate with grappa

2 cups milk
4 tbs bitter cocoa powder
3 tbs sugar
1/2 glass young Grappa
1 tbs plain flour or locust bean gum

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, whisk them thoroughly in order to break all clumps.
Put the saucepan on heat and bring to boil, stir regularly.
The liquid in the pan will thicken a little bit.
Remove from heat and pour into serving cups.
Let cool for a couple of minutes and add some wipped cream if desired.
